Update

We are a bit late with Bulletin and final course info this year and we apologize for that. Unfortunately, there is a good reason for that (which does not have anything to do with the race itself) …

Before we publish the Bulletin and the course lengths here are the answers to a few of the frequently asked questions:

REGISTRATION AND TRAINING ON JULY 26TH

Possible from on July 26th from 14:00 in Sella Nevea. The training terrain is similar to terrain at Laghi di Fusine, but includes some rather extreme parts which will be marked as forbidden.

DISTANCES FROM PARKING TO ARENA

Stage 1: 0 – 300m
Stage 2: 200m-700m
Stages 3, 4: Bus ride from Planica (SLO) to Laghi di Fusine (ITA)
Stage 5: 0-200m

BUSES – HOW WILL THEY WORK:

Stage 2 Sella Nevea:

Arena close to the parking. Race up on the Altopiano del Montasio plateau.

20 vans (8+1 capacity) will be transporting runners throughout the day (starting at 8:30) to the start area on the Altopiano del Montasio.

• • Classes MW10, MW10 Shadowed, MW12, and Beginners will race down in Sella Nevea and will not use the vans.

• • Classes W60, W65, W70, W75, M70, M75, and M80 will be bussed both up and back down to the Arena.

• • All other runners will be bussed up to the start, then will have a longer walking section from the Finish control back to the Arena (cca. 2700m downhill).

The first start is at 9:00, but there will not be a classical start list. Runners will only receive an approximate departure time and will start on the start control. We chose this system to avoid chaos at the start in case of any delays or issues with the vans – which, given the logistics, is not impossible.

After discussions with the bus company (Nomago) and careful consideration of different options and vehicle types, this was decided to be the safest solution. The road is narrow, with 2–3 very sharp and steep turns, making it less suitable for 19-seater buses.

Stages 3 and 4:
Parking will be in Planica (Slovenia). All participants, without exception, must park their vehicles in Planica.

In the bulletin, we will publish your approximate departure time (based on your start time).
Runners will receive a bracelet on the bus, and it will not be possible to start without it. This system ensures that everyone parks in Planica and not in Laghi di Fusine.

8 buses with a capacity of 75 passengers (seated and standing) will be operating.

It is compulsory to carry valid documents, as the route crosses the border. The Italian border police have been informed about the event and has received the list of participants, but we have no guarantee that they won’t check some buses.

Distance from the bus stop at Laghi di Fusine to the Arena is 1300m.

Parking in Planica is payable (4€/car)
