OOcup/2026 is now history. Those who were there will tell the stories, and those who weren’t will get to hear them… 
There are many people to thank on behalf of both OOcup and Kerry Orienteers.
First of all, a huge thank-you to everyone who came to run the 25th edition of the event. Your positive energy in the tough Irish mountain terrain was amazing. Watching children and older competitors complete their courses through the rough marshes was truly inspiring. Congrats to everyone who came – either for just a day or to battle through all week! It was tough, but we hope you enjoyed it. One thing is certain: you now know very well how to navigate in the Irish mountains!
Big thanks to the Perigus Energy and the whole local community for their patience and hospitality.
A huge thank-you also goes to the many volunteers, both international and Irish, and especially to the Irish orienteering community, led by Kerry Orienteers, who welcomed OOcup in the best possible way and helped everything run smoothly. It was comforting to feel so welcome in Ireland and to see how much people cared about making the whole event a success.
And then there is the OOcup team itself: girls and boys from Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia. As always it was a big pleasure to work with you. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and good spirits throughout the event.
Next year OOcup will be held in Slovenia in karst terrain around Novo mesto.
